Healing the Family Father Wound Jed Diamond

The family father wound may be the most pervasive, most important, and least recognized problem facing men and their families today. The father wound isn’t restricted to men. Many women also grew up in a home where a father was absent physically or emotionally. When our fathers are distant either through divorce, death, disengagement, or dysfunction, we are left with a deep wound, which we most often fail to recognize. "Kids have a hole in their soul in the shape of their dad, says family therapist Roland Warren. "And if a father is unwilling or unable to fill that role, it can leave a wound that is not easily healed." In this program Jed Diamond, author of My Distant Dad: Healing the Family Father Wound, will help us explore the father wound, recognize ways it has impacted our adult relationship, and ways we can heal.
