How to Fix Audio
Playing in Left-Speaker Only
Weds, 5/10/23:
We found an issue in about half of the summit videos where it's playing only out of the left speaker/headphone. It will take a few days to fix it, so in the meantime I'd like to share some solutions so you can enjoy these videos in case you're listening with headphones or left+right speakers.
To make the sound play out of both speakers/headphones:
Windows:
Go to Settings. (Keyboard shortcut = Windows key + I ). From the settings menu, go to System > Sound and turn on Mono Audio (see image here).
Android:
First, pull down the notification panel and tap the gear icon. From there, find the “Accessibility” entry. In this menu, find the “Mono Audio” option and toggle it on. On Samsung Galaxy devices, you'll have to tap into the “Hearing” menu before you'll see the Mono Audio entry.
iPhone:
Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual. Mono Audio: Turn on to combine the left and right channels to play the same content.
Mac:
Choose Apple menu > System Settings, click Accessibility in the sidebar, then click Audio on the right. (You may need to scroll down.) Select Play stereo audio as mono.
Here are some steps with images for Mac if that is helpful.
If you do any of these, please remember to turn Mono Audio back off later so you can enjoy stereo sound properly!
